He Decided at 15 He'd Be the One Who Changed Everything. - ALLSMITH Podcast with Cory Gregory
What fourth-generation coal miner and co-founder of Muscle Farm, Cory Gregory, understands about earned confidence, consistency, and why running your own race is the only strategy that lasts.
In 1935, Cory Gregory's great-grandfather Joseph and his great-uncle Isaiah died in a coal mine explosion in Ohio. They were on the same shift. After that, the mines made a rule: no family members on the same shift. Because when a whole shift goes, you lose the whole family.
Joseph had already been teaching Cory's grandfather to lift weights at nine years old. His grandfather taught his father. His father trained in the garage. Cory grew up watching all of it.
He is the fourth generation of coal miners and lifters in his family. He just happened to be the first one to take it out of the hobby and into a life's work.
“It’s not the lack of plans, courses, podcasts, or motivation that holds you back. It’s You. You are the lock and the key.”
